I’ve lost the instructions to my electric drill- and am not sure how to change the drill bits?
It appears that I need a tool of some sort to loosen the bit to remove/insert new one.
I am not even sure what it’s called.

That loosener/tightener thingee is called a chuck key .
You should be able to get one at any home improvement store. I would take your drill with you just in case – to make sure you get the right one. If you ask some one where the chuck keys are you will sound really smart, and may have to actually explain to them what it is you are looking for …. good luck!
